How to make a tweet image

This tweet generator builds a realistic X post on screen while you type. When it looks right, you download it as an image. It takes about a minute:

  1. Fill in the profile. Type a display name and @username, upload a profile photo (it stays on your device) and pick a checkmark if you want one.
  2. Write the post. Type or paste your text. Line breaks, emoji, @mentions, #hashtags and links work and are colored like on X. Add an image if you need one.
  3. Set the details. Choose the date and time, the numbers for replies, reposts, likes, bookmarks and views, and a light, dim or dark theme.
  4. Download the image. Press Download PNG. You get a sharp, high-resolution image of the post, ready for slides, mockups, videos or articles.

The image is exported at twice the screen size, so it stays sharp in presentations, videos and high-resolution displays.

What you can customize

  • Profile: display name (up to 50 characters), @username (up to 15), profile photo and a blue, gold or gray checkmark.
  • Text: up to 1,000 characters, with line breaks and emoji. @mentions, #hashtags and links turn blue automatically.
  • Image: one photo, shown in X's standard wide preview with rounded corners.
  • Time and stats: date, time, replies, reposts, likes, bookmarks and views. Type plain numbers (2400) or short ones (2.4K, 1.2M).
  • Theme: Light, Dim and Dark, matching the three display themes on X.

What people use a tweet mockup for

  • Marketing and design: showing a planned launch post to a client or team before it goes live.
  • Presentations and videos: a clean post image reads better on a slide than a cropped screenshot with notifications in it.
  • Teaching and tutorials: explaining how posts, mentions or hashtags work without pointing at a real person's account.
  • Drafting: seeing how a long post breaks into lines, or how an image crops, before you publish.
  • Parody and memes: as long as it's clearly a joke and doesn't fool anyone.

Use it responsibly

A mockup is a design tool. It becomes a problem when it's used to make people believe someone said something they didn't. Before you share an image made here:

  • Don't impersonate real people or brands in a way that could mislead. X's rules ban deceptive impersonation, and in many countries a fake quote can be defamation.
  • Label parody as parody when you post it.
  • Keep the twigor.com mark. It's there so anyone can tell the image is a mockup.

When you want to show what a real account actually posted, link to the post or embed it instead.

Tweet generator: FAQ

Is this tweet generator free?

Yes. There is no sign-up and no limit. Everything runs in your browser, so your text and photos are never uploaded to our servers.

Why is there a small twigor.com mark on the image?

Every image carries a small twigor.com label in the corner. It keeps the tool free and makes it clear the image is a mockup, not a screenshot of a real post.

Can I make a tweet in dark mode?

Yes. Pick Light, Dim or Dark before you download. The colors match the three themes X offers.

Can I add an image to the tweet?

Yes, one image per post. It is cropped to X's standard 16:9 preview, and like the profile photo, it never leaves your device.

Is it legal to make a fake tweet?

Making a mockup for design, education or clearly labeled parody is generally fine. Passing off an invented post as something a real person said can be misleading, break X's rules if you post it there, and in some cases be defamation. Don't put words in real people's mouths. This is not legal advice.

Does the tool use the real X logo or icons?

No. The layout follows the familiar look of a post, but the icons are our own and there is no X logo, so the image works as a generic social post mockup.
